Ester García (Cáceres, 1984)
Ester grew up among pencils and piles of children's books. She graduated from the University from Salamanca with a degree in Fine Arts, where she discovered illustration as a vocation. She loves telling stories through images, getting lost in nature, and traveling near and far away from home. She currently resides in Northern Spain, where the fauna and forest she lives amongst pop
up in her drawings here and there.
Since 2008, Ester has been a freelance illustrator specialized in the publishing field, working with houses such as Nórdica Libros, Kalandraka, Edelvives, Anaya, SM, Lóguez, or Thule Ediciones, among others.
Her illustrations have been selected for exhibitions such as the Mostra Internazionale d'lllustrazione of Sàrmede (Italy), the Ibero American Illustration Catalog (Mexico), the Ilustrarte Biennial (Portugal), or The Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Contest at the Children's Book Fair in Shanghai (China).
